Stephanie Turco Williams is a non-resident fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute.  She served until February 2021 as the acting UN envoy to Libya and prior to that for twenty-four years in the U.S. Foreign Service.  Stephanie’s research includes examining new strategies in conflict mediation, conflict mediation in rentier states, and the relationships between the Arabian Gulf states and conflict-affected countries in the Middle East and North Africa region.
