Dr. Amir Pasic is a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is vice president of international operations at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In this role, he provides strategic leadership for CASE regional offices in London, Singapore, Mexico City, and oversees CASE activities in Africa and other areas outside of the United States. He is also Eugene R. Tempel Dean and Professor of Philanthropic Studies at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.

Prior to joining CASE, Pasic was Associate Dean for Development and Strategic Planning at Johns Hopkins University SAIS, as well as former executive director of the Foreign Policy Institute. Prior to his work at SAIS, he was Deputy Vice President for Advancement at The George Washington University and a librarian at the Library of Congress.  He also serves as Trustee of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Pasic's previous positions include serving as deputy director for the World Security Project of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and faculty appointments at Brown University's Watson Institute and Political Science Department.

Pasic holds a B.A. from Yale, an M.A. from SAIS, and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania. His publications include: "Foundations in Security: An Overview of Foundation Visions, Programs and Grantees" (Rockefeller Brothers Fund, 1999); "Culture, Identity, and Security: An Overview" (Rockefeller Brothers Fund, 1998); and articles in the journals Ethics & International Affairs, Security Studies, and Global Governance.
